Mumbai Airport or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has been awarded the ‘Best Airport over 40 million passengers’ in the Asia-Pacific region at the Airports Council International’s (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards. This marks the airport’s eighth consecutive win.
One of the most prestigious global accolades in the aviation sector, the ASQ Awards assess customer experience through surveys conducted in partnership with Amadeus. These surveys gather direct feedback from passengers at both Departures and Arrivals, ensuring accurate, third-party-verified insights.
CSMIA saw a 6.3% increase in passenger traffic in 2024, welcoming 54.8 million passengers, a 19.41% rise compared to 2019. The airport also recorded 346,617 air traffic movements, a 3.2% year-on-year increase. Moreover, December 2024 was the busiest month, with a record 170,000 travellers on December 21 alone.
