After witnessing Coldplay’s performance at DY Patil Stadium, commuters in Mumbai’s local train decided to keep the magic alive by turning their ride home into an impromptu sing-along. “Hymn For The Weekend” became the anthem of the evening as passengers transformed the cramped train into a mini concert hall.

Moksha Shah, a content creator, caught the moment on camera. She posted it on January 21 with the caption: “Mumbai locals never miss the vibe check, even with Coldplay!” In the video, you see passengers, squeezed together like sardines, belting out Coldplay’s “Hymn For The Weekend” in harmony. Some even played the track from their phones, creating a mini gig in the middle of a Mumbai rush-hour train.

The British rock band, visibly moved by the energy of their Indian fans, took to their official X account to share a special message.

They posted a photo of the band members beaming in front of the massive, cheering crowd at DY Patil Stadium. The post read: “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Mumbai. It was a dream come true to play three concerts in your beautiful city. We will never forget how you made us feel. We’ll be back!”
