The newly launched BKC-Worli underground metro segment (Phase 2A of Line-3) has trimmed travel time between the two key hubs to just 15 minutes. Spanning 9.77 km, the route connects major landmarks like Dharavi, Dadar, and Siddhivinayak Temple. Eight trains run at intervals of around 6.5 minutes, operating daily from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM.

The fully air-conditioned Metro Line 3 phase offers affordable fares ranging from ₹10 to ₹40, with modern features like free Wi-Fi, contactless ticketing, and platform screen doors. This new stretch is set to significantly increase ridership, overcoming the connectivity challenges faced by the earlier Aarey-BKC section.

Spanning 33.5 km, the BKC-Worli segment is part of the larger Metro Line 3 corridor that will ultimately link Aarey to Cuffe Parade by July 2025. Designed to carry around 1.3 million passengers daily, the line aims to reduce car usage, cut fuel consumption, and lower pollution.
