Mumbai News: Thrilling start to Maharashtra TT Tourney at Khar Gymkhana

The Maharashtra State Prize-Money Table Tennis Tournament 2025-26 served up some exciting action on July 15, Day 1 at Khar Gymkhana. Organised under the aegis of MSTTA and TSTTA, the event features 12 categories, from U-11 to senior men’s and women’s singles, drawing top talent from across the state.

In the U-15 boys' category, Vedant Kakkad (TSTTA) pulled off a gritty 3-2 win against Nirav Gupta (Mumbai City), while Ishaan Kiyawat staged a strong comeback to beat Aarav Bhattacharya 3-1. Among the girls, Riddhi Singh (Thane) overcame an early setback to defeat Swara Gudekar (Mumbai City) 3-1 in the U-13 clash.

With top seeds Reagan Albuquerque and Shweta Parte Nayak leading the men’s and women’s draws, the coming days promise even more fast-paced, high-stakes action.
