An intense season of Mumbai's oldest football league is currently underway. Starting on September 21, the Harwood League has made a comeback this year, after a rather long hiatus. Notably, this is the very first edition of the league after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The first-ever edition of this football tournament was held in 1902, which was organized by Colonel J G Harwood, who later founded the Western India Football Association (WIFA). Over the decades that followed, Mumbai's oldest football tournament saw a slew of memorable encounters.

It's return after the pandemic has been embraced with open arms by the football community in Mumbai. With a number of exhilarating encounters already been played, the grand finale of this edition has been scheduled for October 5.
