Mumbai Police stations now active on X; help is just a tweet away!

Citizens can now tag their local police station's X handle to report issues.

In a progressive move towards under the guidance of Mumbai Police Commissioner, all police stations across Mumbai and its suburbs are now officially active on X. According to a tweet by Adv. Ashutosh J. Dubey, citizens can now lodge complaints, report incidents, or seek assistance by simply tagging their nearest police station’s official X handle, for example, @charkopps for Charkop Police Station.

Joint Commissioner Satyanarayan Chaudhary emphasised that this move ensures quicker responses and stronger community connect, with each handle monitored by zonal DCPs for timely action. The Mumbai Police has already been active on Instagram and X via their central accounts, but this local-level activation is a game-changer in real-time policing.
