Mumbai's culinary scene is shining once again as Masque in Mahalakshmi, has clinched the top position among Indian restaurants for the second year, on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants For 2024 list. The prestigious ranking awarded in Seoul on March 26, showcased Masque's innovative approach to Indian cuisine, earning it the 23rd spot on the esteemed list.

The top positions on the list were claimed by Sézanne in Tokyo, Florilege also located in Tokyo, and Gaggan Anand, situated in Bangkok. Following Masque on the list, are Indian Accent from New Delhi, at the 26th spot and Avartana from Chennai, at the 44th position.

Masque: 'India's Best Restaurant'

Founded in 2016 by Prateek Sadhu and Aditi Dugar, Mumbai's Masque has carved a niche for itself by showcasing India's rich produce through a 10-course tasting menu. With the kitchen led by Chef Varun Totlani, Masque reinvents traditional Indian flavours with innovative flair. From Kashmiri morels with patra to sea buckthorn pani puri, you'll find it all!

The recognition of Masque as 'India's Best Restaurant' alongside the inclusion of the country's two other restaurants on the list, reflects the culinary excellence of Indian chefs and restaurateurs on the global stage.
