Mumbai woke up to a cloudy and muggy morning with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a warning for rain and thunderstorm later for today. The city is set to experience overcast skies and possible thundershowers, with temperatures ranging between 26°C and 32°C.

A yellow alert has been issued for Tuesday and Wednesday, predicting moderate rainfall and strong gusts. neighbouring districts like Thane, Palghar, and Raigad may also witness similar weather conditions.

Meanwhile Mumbai's air quality remain satisfactory at AQI 54. IMD officials attribute the pre-monsoon showers to low-level wind disturbances and western disturbances, bringing moisture and cooler air. The week ahead promises light rain and drizzle, with temperatures dropping by 1-2°C.
