Mumbaikars woke up to a smoggy morning on December 24, with the city recording a pleasant 23.81°C. The day’s forecast predicts a minimum temperature of 21.99°C and a high of 24.7°C, making it a cool and comfortable Christmas Eve. However, the city's air quality remains a concern, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 184, falling in the 'moderate' category.

Adding to the hazy skies, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced fresh measures to combat dust pollution from construction sites and roads. These include bans on bonfires and stricter regulations for site management, with clean-up marshals and vigilance teams deployed for enforcement.

With these proactive measures, BMC aims to improve air quality, providing a healthier environment for Mumbaikars despite the challenging air quality.
