Amity University, Mumbai, has achieved a historic milestone by setting a Guinness World Record for conducting the "largest commercial advertising production lesson". The event, held on January 22 at the university auditorium, brought together 399 participants from 23 teams for an intensive session on advertisement production as part of the university’s flagship annual event, Ami Ad-vantage 2025.
The session, led by Dr. Nima Jerrit John, lasted one hour and four minutes and adhered to strict Guinness guidelines, supervised by 16 stewards and three official witnesses, including cinematographer Santosh Thundiyil. Senior Adjudicator Mr Swapnil Dangarikar officially declared the record, presenting the Guinness World Record certificate to Vice Chancellor Dr. A.W. Santhosh Kumar.
Renowned ad filmmakers Abhinay Deo and Santosh Thundiyil judged the student-created advertisement films, adding expertise and credibility to the event. Cultural performances and a prize distribution ceremony rounded off the celebrations, showcasing the diverse talents of Amity’s students.
This remarkable achievement underscores Amity’s dedication to fostering creativity, innovation, and excellence in education, setting new benchmarks for the academic community in India.
