Mumbai’s CSMIA records 4.77 million flyers and 11% cargo surge in November!

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) delivered quite a performance in November 2024, in regards to both domestic and international connectivity. The airport handled 4.77 million passengers during the month, with its busiest day on November 27, accommodating 941 flights. In cargo operations, the airport achieved an 11% growth compared to November 2023.

Key Highlights:

  • Passenger Traffic:

    • Total: 4.77 million passengers

    • Domestic: 3.4 million travellers

    • International: 1.37 million travellers

  • Air Traffic Movements (ATMs):

    • Total: 27,200 ATMs

    • Domestic: 9,696 ATMs (including freighters)

    • International: 7,504 ATMs (including cargo freighters)

  • Top Destinations:

    • Domestic: Delhi, Bengaluru and Goa

    • International: Dubai, Abu Dhabi and London

  • Cargo Operations:

    • Total cargo handled: 71,046 MT

    • Domestic cargo: 18,653 MT

    • International cargo: 52,393 MT

    • Key domestic exports: consolidated cargo, engineering goods and mail

    • Key international exports: automobiles, pharmaceuticals and electronics
