The iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is set to be a key venue for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The stadium will host one of the semi-finals, alongside India's league match against the Netherlands and several warm-up fixtures, totalling six games.

Five Indian cities, three Sri Lankan venues set for Feb-March tournament

The tournament will run from February 7 to March 8 across five Indian cities, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad, plus three Sri Lankan venues including Colombo and Pallekele.

Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium is slated to host both the opener and final, mirroring its role in the 2023 ODI World Cup. However, if Pakistan reaches the final, the match will shift to Sri Lanka under neutral venue protocols agreed between the BCCI and ICC.

The 20-team tournament features India grouped with Pakistan, the Netherlands, Namibia, and the United States. India will play Pakistan in Sri Lanka, continuing the arrangement established after India declined to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
