Good news comes from Indian Railways as the third Vande Bharat train to start operation soon. The third semi-high speed train will run between Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Reportedly, the Indian Railways will conduct the final trial, which is also known as the Time Table trial, for two days from September 7 on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route.

Train to be operational after CCRS approval

The semi-high speed train has gone through nearly a month-long trial. Starting with low-speed oscillation at 115 kmph to high speed at 180 kmph, trail runs were conducted on both loaded and empty trains.

Once done with the final run on September 7, the train further avait for the safety clearance from the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS). It is one of the mandatory requirements for the commercial operation of any new train.

With the introduction of the Vande Bharat Train, the travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be reduced to 2 hrs 30 minutes. Currently, two Vande Bharat trains are running in India on Delhi-Katra and Delhi-Varanasi routes. The maximum speed that these trains can go up to is 200 kmph.
