Passengers that frequently use Mumbai's Western Line will witness disruptions in train services starting from the midnight of August 27-28. The cancellations and delays will be a result of the work to be done on extending the sixth line between Goregaon and Kandivali.

During these 35 days, there will be major 10-hour blocks on the 5th, 12th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th days as most of the work will be done on weekends. On these days, around 140 suburban train services will be cancelled while another 70 will be short-terminated.

However, these disruptions will be paused between September 11 and September 17 to allow a smooth commute for Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai. According to Western Railway officials, there'll be fewer disruptions on weekdays during this 35-day period.
