Thai low-cost carrier Thai VietJet Air (VZ) has announced a new direct international route between Phuket and Mumbai, set to begin this August. This will be the airline’s second connection to India, following its existing daily Mumbai–Bangkok service.
The Phuket–Mumbai service will operate four times a week, using an all-economy Airbus A320-200 (180 seats).
Flight VZ762: Departs Phuket at 10:10 PM (local) and arrives in Mumbai at 01:05 AM IST.
Operates on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Flight duration: 4 hours 25 minutes.
Return Flight VZ763: Departs Mumbai at 02:05 AM IST, reaches Phuket at 08:20 AM (local).
Operates on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
Flight duration: 4 hours 45 minutes.
Thai VietJet has confirmed that fares will be aggressively priced, aiming to attract travellers with affordable options and convenient timings. Until now, IndiGo held a monopoly on the Mumbai–Phuket route, often charging high fares.
