Commuters, take note! The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced a three-day traffic block on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway from January 22 to 24, 2025. The block will be in effect daily from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM to accommodate girder installation for a new bridge at kilometre marker 58/500, near Dongargaon and Kusgaon.
The block will be enforced from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM each day, affecting Pune-bound traffic.
During this period, traffic heading from Mumbai to Pune will be diverted at kilometre marker 54/700 near Varsoli Toll Plaza. Commuters will be rerouted via the National Highway 48, taking the Dehu Road route towards Pune, before rejoining the expressway ahead. Traffic from Pune to Mumbai will remain unaffected and continue as usual.
MSRDC has urged travellers to plan their journeys in advance to avoid delays. The expressway will be open to regular traffic once the diversion period ends at 3:00 PM. For any issues or queries, commuters can reach out to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway Control Room at 9822498224 or the Highway Police at 9833498334.
