About Uber Black

Uber Black will come with a 30-40% premium over the platform’s current top-tier product, Uber Premier. The company anticipates significant interest, particularly from corporate travellers. Further, The launch will be facilitated through Uber’s fleet partners.

Notably, last year, Uber led a $20-million funding round for Everest Fleet, a prominent Mumbai-based vehicle partner.

When was Uber Black stopped in India?

Uber Black commenced its operations in India in 2013, offering executive vehicles like Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. This was subsequently replaced with luxury cars such as the Toyota Innova, Honda City, and Toyota Corolla. However, the service was discontinued in 2014.
