Indian Railways (IR) is all set to roll out its Summer Special Trains for 2025. The Central Railway (CR) zone is leading the charge, introducing 332 special services from Mumbai Division, ensuring smooth travel for the summer rush. Key routes for these special trains include Mumbai-Nagpur, Mumbai-Karmali, Mumbai-Thiruvananthapuram, Pune-Nagpur, and Daund-Kalaburagi. Read on for details!
Train No. 02139/02140: CSMT-Nagpur-CSMT Bi-weekly Special (50 trips)
Train No. 01151/01152: CSMT-Karmali-CSMT Weekly Special (18 trips)
Train No. 01129/01130: LTT-Karmali-LTT Weekly Special (18 trips)
Train No. 01063/01064: LTT-Thiruvananthapuram North-LTT Weekly Special (18 trips)
Train No. 01469/01470: Pune-Nagpur-Pune Weekly Superfast AC Special (24 trips)
Train No. 01467/01468: Pune-Nagpur-Pune Weekly Superfast Special (24 trips)
Train No. 01421/01422: Daund-Kalaburagi Unreserved Special (5 days a week, 128 trips)
Train No. 01425/01426: Kalaburagi Unreserved Special (Bi-weekly, 52 trips)
Ticket bookings for these special trains will begin on March 24, via all computerised reservation centres and online at www.irctc.co.in. Unreserved coaches can be booked through UTS at regular charges.
In addition to the new Summer Special trains, commuters should also be aware of an upcoming jumbo block on the Western Railway. Due to essential maintenance work, a five-hour block will be imposed on the Up and Down fast lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central stations on March 23, from 10:35 am to 3:35 pm.
