Warmer days ahead! Mumbai's maximum temperature to soon hit 38°C

Get ready to feel the heat, Mumbai! The Meteorological Department has forecasted warmer days ahead, with daytime temperatures expected to soar between 36°C and 38°C in the city. Despite the spike, there's no heatwave warning issued as of yet.

On Monday, Colaba recorded a maximum temperature of 30.8°C, while Santacruz observed 32°C. IMD officials anticipate hot and humid conditions around March 20, with suburban temperatures likely to hit the 36-38 degree range. Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures on Monday stood at 23°C for Colaba and 22.6°C for Santacruz.

A heatwave warning is issued when coastal temperatures are forecasted to hit 37°C, with deviations from normal ranging between 4.5 and 6.4 degrees at two or more stations.
