The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 is set for a grand expansion, with the BCCI announcing a major expansion to four cities, Mumbai, Lucknow, Bengaluru, and Vadodara. Aiming to broaden the sport’s reach, the tournament will kick off in early February at Mumbai’s iconic Brabourne Stadium. It will then travel across venues, culminating in a thrilling final at Vadodara’s newly-built Kotambi Stadium, which recently hosted its maiden international women’s match.

Featuring 23 matches across these venues, WPL 2025 promises to captivate fans and elevate women’s cricket in India. The decision to expand comes after stellar fan support in previous editions—Mumbai hosted the inaugural 2023 season entirely, while Bengaluru and Delhi shared the 2024 tournament.

By broadening its reach, the BCCI aims to connect with a larger audience and celebrate the growing popularity of women’s cricket. The WPL 2025 is gearing up to be a game-changer for the sport.
