This category includes people who can't walk due to a disability or chronic health issues.
Aiming to assure vaccination for all, the authorities in Indore have decided to provide the inoculation facility at home, for bedridden and disabled citizens faced with mobility difficulties. Reportedly, district vaccination officer, Dr. Pravin Jadia informed that the state Social Justice and Disabled People Welfare Department has prepared a list of over 50 such people. This index includes people who can't walk due to a disability or chronic health issues.
Surgeons to first examine the state of the individuals
The scheme would cover people who are troubled by physical impairment, cerebral palsy, hyper-mental challenge, mental illness and other problems hampering their movement. Given their condition, these individuals have a special need for vaccination. Thereby, it was essential to recognise their requirement and launch this drive.
As per reports, the doctors and surgeons will first assess the state of the patient's disease and then, vaccination shall be provided to them within the confines of their homes. As per reports, the kin or caretaker of such a person will have to apply online for getting the benefit of the scheme.
All beneficiaries required to fill an online form to get the benefit
Subsequently, the Social Justice Department has worked meticulously to ensure that all required resources are put in place as soon as possible. All expected beneficiaries will have to fill the detailed form in order to get the vaccine at home. This form asks for complete information about the individuals including their address, mobile number, Aadhar card number, IMC Janpad ward number, the cause of being unable to walk to the vaccination centre and so on.
