In a first, Goa's KCCA gets a French master chef to boost culinary pedagogy at the institute!​

The institution will forge towards academic excellence under the supervision of chef Patrick Albert.

Goa's Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts (KCCA) has become the first academy in India to induct a French master chef in their team of faculty members. The class of 2021-22 will move towards academic excellence under the supervision of chef Patrick Albert, who is a renowned gourmet chef from France. Much to the delight of students, teachers and staff, not only will the famous personality enlighten students with his culinary acumen but will also provide theoretical lessons.

Accredited with the title of 'Maitre Cuisinier de France'

With his vast knowledge and expertise in the hospitality industry, Albert is appointed to make a lasting impact on the culinary students in Goa. Being a member of the distinguished Academie Culinaire de France, Albert has gathered a large fan-following across the globe. The renowned chef was presented with the title of Maitre Cuisinier de France in 2014, which is one of the most prestigious titles given to French chefs working towards professional culinary excellence.

Previously, Albert has worked with Walt Disney's Cruise line for twenty years as an executive chef and manager. Along with his culinary skills, Walt Disney's franchises also witnessed his managerial supervision when he got the opportunity to coordinate with Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Lallement and Chef Scott Hunnel of 5 Diamonds.

Along with his stellar record in the culinary sector, the chef is known to possess excellent managerial prowess which would inspire chefs and hospitality enthusiasts of Goa, making him an asset for KCCA. The Programme Director at KCCA, Rati Telgu said, "Chef Patrick Albert knows the ropes. He is a storehouse of knowledge, technique, grit and ethics. His mentorship will guide our students towards scaling global heights."

The fusion of French and Indian cultures through the culinary industry is relatively a new trend in the hospitality sector. This blend of ethnicities will result in a richer and colourful experience. In alignment with the same objective, the academy took the decision to appoint the world-renowned chef.
