Amid the ongoing circumstances of the pandemic, Lucknow University had recently announced offline examinations for last year and end-semester students. Expressing discontent over the fees levied by the varsity, a group of students have initiated a social media campaign on the microblogging site Twitter. Labeled 'No exam, no fee', the drive by the distressed pupils of the institute asks for a reduction in the exam fees and course fees, given the tumultuous situation of the present day.

As per the schedule released by the university, examinations for last year's students shall commence from August 10 and the examinees are asked to fill forms by July 10.

The decision was formalised in an online review meeting of two state institutes, Lucknow University and Bathkhande Music Institute Deemed University and ensures that students do not have to run for their degrees.
