Reportedly, Moscow-Goa flight operations will kick off from tomorrow i.e. on 2nd November. Aeroflot will fly its Airbus 330 aircraft every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from Sheremetyevo International Airport of Moscow to Dabolim Airport of Goa.

More about Moscow-Goa flight service

Aeroflot’s Airbus A330 aircraft will offer a total seating capacity of 296 passengers constituting 268 business class seats and 28 economy class seats. Furthermore, the new flight operations will also help in streamlining cargo movement from Russia to India and other CIS nations by adding a weekly cargo capacity of 30 tons.

Until now, flight services between India and Russia have only been functional on the Moscow-Delhi-Moscow route. Due to this, passengers heading to Goa from Russia have to opt for one-stop flights which take more than 12 hours.

With the launch of direct flight operations between Goa and Moscow, the travel time will be reduced to merely 7.6 hours.

A boost to the pharma supply chain

Amid the Russia-Ukraine tension, many airlines are still not flying to Russia due to various sanctions. This has severely impacted the supply chain of many industries in the region.

The new Aeroflot flight operations will add supplemental cargo capacity for the export of essential pharma supplies and other perishable goods to Russia and other CIS nations.
