Located 40 kms from the city of Indore, is the beautiful lotus valley in Gulawat, a place that takes you closer to mother-nature. Owing to its location away from the city, the place is less crowded, which means you can have a nice quiet time here, free from the chaotic life of the city

The Gulawat Lotus Lake offers breathtaking views of the lotus valley and is therefore a place of interest for photographers too. The serene lake is surrounded by greenery and makes for a perfect weekend getaway for the people of Indore.

The journey to the place is smooth for the first 30 kms, but you will have to go off-road for the last 10 kms, which is not necessarily bad and could be pretty adventurous.

The place is situated at one end of Yashwant Lake in Indore.Two roads can take you to Lotus Valley - one that has already been mentioned and the second one goes through some villages and could therefore be confusing.

A 100-150 meter long bridge over the lake, gives the travelers a perfect view of the beautiful flowers, spread as far as your eyes can see. When you move deeper, you’ll see the bamboo forest, which is also a treat for the eyes. If you want to spend your weekend in a less crowded place, closer to nature, you must definitely go for this experience.

The best time to visit the Gulawat lake valley is winters and rainy season, which means you can plan a trip anytime now.

COVID-19 in Mumbai: Fresh case tally falls for the 5th consecutive day, gyms reopen in the city
