Vijaya, originally from Bengaluru and now working in the USA, travelled all the way to the Mela for the first time. Expressing her gratitude towards the authorities and the government for their meticulous arrangements, she shared her thoughts after taking the holy dip: "This is my first visit to the Mela, and I feel truly blessed to be here. The energy of the crowd is amazing, and I’m excited to experience this. The government and organizers have really done an excellent job managing the event."

She also praised the cleanliness efforts, saying, "The cleaning staff has been working tirelessly at the ghats to keep the area clean. The Karmacharis are efficiently maintaining the cleanliness of the water during the bathing and puja rituals."

A first-time visitor from Nepal, who came to the Kumbh Mela to take the holy dip, shared her impressions: "I’ve witnessed incredible arrangements made for pilgrims across India who are travelling to Mahakumbh, which is truly commendable. What stands out this time is the extensive digital advancements across the Mela, something I’ve never seen anywhere else!"

Alongside domestic pilgrims, the Mahakumbh Mela is also drawing international tourists eager to immerse themselves in its spiritual atmosphere.

Kristine, a visitor from Russia who travelled all the way from Vienna on the first day of the Mela, shared her experience: "This is my first time at the Kumbh Mela, and India is incredible. Here, you truly witness the spirit of India. The strength of this country lies in its people, and when you look around, you see thousands and thousands of them. I’m overwhelmed by the energy and the sacredness of this place."

Yaneka from Germany reflects on the spiritual experience at Kumbh Mela

Yaneka, a visitor from Germany, shared her thoughts on the event: "I came to India to deepen my yoga practice and to witness the Kumbh Mela. It’s been an amazing experience to see the gurus, sadhus, and the spiritual life here."

Along with several notable personalities attending the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Laurene Powell, widow of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, also participated in the grand event on its opening day.

On January 12, she took part in the sacred Pattabhishek (coronation) ceremony of Vyasanand Giri Maharaj at the Niranjani Akhara, an important ritual in the Kumbh Mela tradition.
