Punjab to enforce ‘right to walk’ across the state

Following the constant rise in pedestrian accidents, 1st in line, Punjab has initiated ‘right to walk’ and made it mandatory for all road-owning agencies, including the NHAI, to provide footpath and cycle tracks in future road expansions. Two prominent judgements by Punjab and Haryana HC have also been passed in this regard.

Mumbai Zoo gets an underwater viewing crocodile deck


The 162 years old, Veermata Jijabai Bhosle Botanical Garden and Zoological Museum in Mumbai has launched a new 'Crocodile Trail' with an underwater viewing deck. Spread over approximately one acre of water, the Croc Trail has separate enclosures for the crocodiles and gharials, and more are to be added soon.

2 Indian nurses shortlisted for $250,000 Global Nursing Award

Amid almost 52,000 registrations, 2 Indians (total 10) have been shortlisted for the $250,000 Global Nursing Award organised Aster DM Healthcare. Shanti Teresa Lakra from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Kerala-born Jincy Jerry will be evaluated for the award on May 12 in London.
