IOC session in India approves inclusion of Cricket in Los Angeles Olympics 2028

In the ongoing International Olympic Committee session in Mumbai, the inclusion of cricket as a sport at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics has been approved. Along with Twenty-20 Cricket, the IOC announced the inclusion of four more sports for the 2028 Olympics. These include baseball/softball, flag football, lacrosse, and squash.

Operation Ajay: More than 900 Indians successfully brought back home from Israel

Under the ongoing Operation Ajay, a total of 942 Indians have been brought back to their homeland from war-torn Israel. Operation Ajay was launched by the central government to facilitate the return of those Indian nationals who want to return amid the Israel-Hamas conflict, out of the 18,000 that live there.

According to a statement by officials, the Radiation Detection Equipment (RDE) will be installed along eight crossing points across India's borders. The said equipment will be placed on borders with Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Furthermore, the technology will check the trafficking of radioactive material across borders to make nuclear devices.
