During our college days, events are what we look forward to throughout the year. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, all the events, lectures and regular college life has shifted online and this has become the new normal for students. To keep up with the trend, the students of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar will be organising their annual media conclave Communiqué virtually this year. With a guest panel consisting of eminent personalities from several media houses, a great interactive session is all set to commence on the 10th of October.
Domino Effect PR: Communication in the hands of the masses
IlluminatiX – the Media and PR Cell of XIM conducts Communiqué every year which hosts prominent names in the media and business world, where stalwarts share their knowledge and experience with the audience. This year noticed a shift in the social media trends like a well-arranged stack of dominoes, which intrigued the students and was hence chosen as this season's theme.
An IlluminatiX council member said, "This year's theme revolves around how the changing landscape of PR, how the cause and effect of top-to-bottom and bottom-to-top channels of communication and how the deconstructed media enabling empowerment in the hands of the masses are affecting brands across the world and how they leverage this opportunity to build a stronger PR base in the eyes of the masses."

To share valuable insights into the changing landscape of PR over the years, an esteemed panel has been invited to the 8th edition of Communique. Dr Samir Kapur (Director at Adfactors PR Communication Consultant), Bhavya Sharma (Associate Director, PR & Communications, Urban Company), Mudassar Hossain (Managing Partner, Ogilvy) and Prashant Sukhwani (Head of Brand & Communication, Burger King Corporation).
