Indoris have true-blue filmy hearts and a foodie’s appetite and when you combine Bollywood with scrumptious food, hellzyeah you can count us in! Keeping our desi dils in mind, some good folks have founded a restro-bar here, moulded according to a Bollywood theme and we’re heart-eyeing it already.

A vibrant outlet with mood lights and quirky Bollywood murals, Bollywood ठेका (Theka) is for all those who still fantasize about the mustard-field scene from DDLJ or are into dhai kilo ka haath jokes! A retro fusion of Bollywood and food, if you are a cinephile, you are surely going to fall in love with this place at first sight just like in the movies.
Right from the swanky red carpet entry to the famed black lady, Bollywood Theka has done up the ambiance, menu and the table mats to perfection! Even the staff’s disco dancer outfits, name badges and the cutlery certainly stands out from the other hubs in the city which makes this further more appealing. Though the food options are limited, they’re still pretty pocket-friendly if you consider the quality of your experience but it’s not recommended for the month-end week.

The quantity is hearty and the food presentations deserve our mention too. Every order was served accompanied by kitschy cutlery- think shots in small bulbs or drinks served in a skull shaped mason jars! Here you’ll also be served by reel Bollywood biggies like Chulbul Pandey or Bahubali and we’re not kidding. The waiters here are all assigned an identity based on famous Bollywood characters so don’t be surprised if your nachos order is being served in a shovel by Bahubali.
Adding heaps to the chilled aesthetic vibes are the consistent Bollywood hits that belts out of the speakers here. A television screen displaying our beloved Hindi music collections fosters the ultimate experience and honestly, after a few tipples here our bodies go London Thumkda!
While here, don’t shy away from ordering the Mutton Bhuna and the Mutton Biryani and finish off on a sweet note by ordering their cheesecake.
