Naya Basera becomes Indore's first govt school to offer modern-day learning techniques

Govt school in Indore provides better facilities to students than most private schools

Education is a fundamental way to achieve development and growth. Keeping this in mind, it is essential to design educational infrastructure in such a way that it maximizes the effectiveness and accessibility of education being delivered. On these lines, Government Secondary School No. 19 Naya Basera School in Indore is exceeding the standards set by the majority of private educational institutes. The said school is equipped with facilities like CCTV cameras, proper sports equipment, filter water for clean drinking, etc.

Principal Sureshchandra Dubey told ANI, “We have provided facilities at par with the private schools. We have CCTV cameras, fans, tube lights, filter water, food arrangements, beautiful paintings, a play area and much more." Currently, more than 300 students are benefitted from these facilities, encouraging them towards learning.

Dubey further added, "The school building was built by the Indore Municipal Corporation. We have students from classes 1 to 8 studying here. Previously the students had to sit in the open ground and study where we had issues of waterlogging during the rainy season, but now things are different."

With the help from various private and government organisations including, Indigo Airlines and Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), these facilities have been installed on the premises. There is strong evidence that high-quality infrastructure facilitates better instruction, improves student outcomes, and reduces dropout rates, one of the major concerns in govt schools. Other than this, these new facilities will not only help students to learn better but will also encourage teachers to adopt modern teaching methods.
