Boosting the vaccination program in Indore, drives shall be conducted across all zonal offices and drive-in centres of the Municipal Corporation today. As per reports, 19 official sites and 6 drive-in sites will witness the administration of immunity booster jabs throughout the day. After the success achieved in the vaccination schedules of Monday, the authorities are trying their best to augment the count of beneficiaries as much as possible.
Door-to-door campaign in Indore to find the non-vaccinated citizens
Reportedly, more than 78,000 citizens received lifesaving jabs on Monday. With the implementation of this large-scale program, the logs of Monday broke all previous daily vaccination records. According to Municipal Commissioner, a door-to-door campaign is being conducted across the city to spot individuals who are not immunised. With the help of the voters’ list, a team of Municipal Corporation NGO is finding the non-vaccinated citizens and asking them to get inoculated.
At-home vaccination facility for aged, ill and differently-abled
As per reports, the Additional Commissioner apprised that an inventive scheme has been deployed to facilitate extensive drives in the city. As a part of this, officers visited 18 ashrams in the city to vaccinate senior citizens, specially-abled and mentally unsound patients. Reportedly, 400 beneficiaries were advantaged from this program and the count is expected to elevate in the upcoming days.
Further, bed-ridden and diseased individuals are also being identified for priority vaccination. After proper assessment of their current condition by a team of doctors, including surgeons, they will be provided with the facility of at-home vaccination.
56 new cases and 52 recoveries were marked in Indore on Monday. While the city currently has 698 active patients, the cumulative count of infected individuals has reached 1,52,575 now. As per the current records, 1,371 lives have been lost to the highly infectious contagion Indore.
