Good news for commuters, AiCTSL to add 80 new electric buses in Indore for public use

Good new for commuters, Atal Indore City Transport Service Ltd. (AiCTSL) is all set to add 80 new electric buses to its fleet by July. Currently, a total of 40 electric busses are functional on different routes. Ever since their induction, e-buses have become a big hit amongst daily commuters as they keep the environment safe.

New buses to come in a phased manner

As per reports, 80 new buses in Indore will be floated in a phased manner with 25 being introduced in the first phase. Out of the 80 new buses, 30 will ply on the BRTS corridor connecting Rajiv Gandhi statue to Nipania, while the remaining 50 buses will ply in different parts of the city. At present, only CNG-operated buses are run on the BRTS corridor.

Side by side, AiCTSL management is also working towards assembling charging stations for the busses. Civil work at six spots including Khajrana and Chandan Nagar has already been completed. The remaking work is expected to complete till May.
