Green Lives Matter | Targetting afforestation, Indore civic body started tree ambulance service
Cleaner air for Indorians! Ranked number one in cleanliness, Indore is now edging towards becoming a Green City as well. The recently launched Tree ambulance by Indore Municipal Corporation will provide first-aid to trees and plants across the city.
The civic body in collaboration with Horticulture Department has installed the tree ambulances with all adequate equipments including sprinklers, and medicines to conserve the biodiversity in the city.
All-in-one Tree ambulance
Reportedly, the tree ambulance is well equipped with the means for keeping the trees in and around Indore healthy. Developed in the IMC workshop, the ambulance provides first aid treatment to trees on public and private properties, collectively reducing the carbon foot print of Indore.
Additionally, the ambulance will also treat sick, worm-infested trees and plants with the help of various measures including, cutting off their damaged branches, fertilisation, regular irrigation and more.
With an aim to promote afforestation, the ambulance will also carry out the transplantation of healthy trees and provide assistance to people in planting trees.
