Going by reports, the P C Sethi Hospital of Indore is being utilized as a testing facility and the patients are initially treated at the designated health and general clinics. Additionally, only those patients who are testing positive in the ELISA test are being recorded as dengue patients, as stated by the chief medical officer of Indore.

Reportedly, Indore has witnessed the highest surge in dengue cases from the past 12 years, despite the implementation of several restrictive measures. Last year, the state had recorded the lowest tally of dengue cases in over a decade which makes this season's surge a major setback for Madhya Pradesh.
