IDA approves key projects for infrastructure development in Indore

Indore Development Authority has approved a proposal to build a flyover worth Rs.146.98 crores. This will help in the overall development in Indore

The Indore Development Authority (IDA) held a Board Meeting on Thursday to discuss and approve various developmental projects in the city. One of the major decisions taken by the board was the approval of a double-decker flyover on the Indore-Ujjain road. This flyover aims to improve transportation links and facilitate smoother travel between the two cities.

Further, the authorities are also planning to construct an elevated road on White Church Road. The proposal for a feasibility survey for the same has been approved by the board. This elevated road will provide a convenient transportation route from the Agriculture College to the Kanadia Bypass in Indore. It will also pass over the bridge at Pipaliyahana Chowk. The project is expected to ease traffic, and will help in enhancing connectivity throughout the city.

Additionally, the Indore development authority has decided to establish Women Entrepreneurship Centres at three locations in the city, and invited tenders to select architects for these centres.

Certain other decisions were also taken– the board agreed to notify the land included in Scheme No 126 and Scheme No 127, which will have a positive impact on colonies like Srishti Palace, Shrinath Vihar, Roshan Bagh, and surrounding areas, as they will be declared legal. The proposal for the same will also be forwarded for the approval of the State Government.

In related news, a budget of Rs. 85 lakh has been approved for repairing the basement of the Government Cancer Hospital. Further, a private agency will also be appointed to operate and maintain the international-level swimming pool in Scheme No. 94 Sector-F.

Other significant decisions include the installation of a statue of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan at Niranjanpur Chauraha and proposals for the widening of the Gangwal bus stand and Mhow Naka Flyover. Overall, strict actions are being taken to improve the infrastructure of the city.
