The Indore Development Authority (IDA) is gearing up to complete two major flyover projects this month, aiming to streamline traffic flow across the city. The Khajrana Flyover is nearing full completion, with its second arm set to open by December 20. While one side is already operational, final works like asphalting and painting are in progress. Once fully functional, the flyover will greatly enhance connectivity between Bengali and Robot Squares, reducing congestion in the area.
Meanwhile, the Luvkush Flyover’s second arm will also open soon this month, complementing traffic improvements currently seen on its first operational side. On the other hand, Rau Flyover’s construction has concluded, with successful load testing paving the way for its opening by month-end. Two other major flyovers—Bhawarkua and Phooti Kothi—are fully functional, at the moment.
Future developments include feasibility surveys for new flyovers along AB Road and two proposed cable car routes. Plans for bridges at Marimata and Bada Ganpati intersections are also progressing, promising long-term traffic solutions for the city. Indore’s infrastructure upgrades are set to transform commuting across the city.
