Indian Institute of Management Indore has officially commenced its first batch of ANVESHAN. Under the campaign by IIM Indore, this first batch of 26 municipal commissioners and officials will be trained in waste management over the course of a four-day programme. It is noteworthy that officials participating in the said programme belong to 14 different Indian states.
Collaborative effort for hygiene and better waste management
The state officials included in the first batch of ANVESHAN are Gujarat, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Assam, Haryana, Maharashtra, Tripura, Delhi, and Arunachal Pradesh.
The purpose of ANVESHAN is to shape a clean, green, and more sustainable future by equipping officials with vital waste management skills. It is noteworthy that Indore has already set high standards in hygiene, being the cleanest city in the country for years on the trot.
Furthermore, this 4-day programme at IIM Indore will bring in innovative techniques on the topic from a diverse set of regions spreading from Tripura to Gujarat. Each of these officials will then take back the know-how regarding cutting-edge waste management technology and implement it in each of their constituencies.
