Cloudy skies and light rainfall on Thursday brought a much needed respite from the sweltering heat that was largely prevalent in Indore. On Thursday, the city was blessed with a bearable temperature of almost 37 degrees and Indoris breathed a sigh of relief finally!
Residents of the city took to the streets and went outdoors to bask under the cloudy skies and didn’t have to stay indoors to beat the heat like regular summer days! On Thursday, the temperature sunk only slightly but was enough for Indoris to rejoice and make merry because of course, something is better than nothing!

Before the advent of the cloudy skies and the somewhat pleasant weather, temperature in Indore soared above 42 degrees, which is unheard of in this city!
Following that, the mercury took a sudden dip and came down by 4 degrees Celsius and reached a bearable temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. The temperature dip began on Wednesday night and early in the morning on Thursday, it reached a pleasant 27 degrees! The temperatures remained a few degrees less than the expected average, which was a plus point!
As per the Met department, the cloudy weather will persist for at least a few more days and there are chances that the city would witness heavy showers and fierce winds over the coming days. Though they said that the temperature during the day will remain at a reasonable level, during the night, it could rise along with the humidity.
On Thursday as well, the winds were strong and gusty. Reaching a peak of 14 kilometers per hour, the winds were enough to get residents out of their homes.
Residents of Indore woke up to this surprise and quickly made the best use of the situation. Many residents were spotted outside, strolling in parks and other pedestrian friendly areas. Since the weather will not last for long, we urge citizens of Indore to take a day off and to enjoy this comfortable weather with friends and family.
