Indore much like other cities in Madhya pradesh is full of such gorgeous temples, yet we seldom get to hear about them.

Annapurna Mata Mandir

Probably the most famous of all temples except maybe the Bada Ganpati, Ananpurna Mandir is a major attraction in Indore. Made in the southern Dravidian style, the architecture of this temple though unusual, is quite stunning. The intricate statues and idols that adorn the walls and entryway of the temple complex are nothing less than the famous Khajuraho or Jagannath Puri. Inside her colourful sanctum, goddess Annapurna or ‘she who fills with food’ is flanked by the fearsome warrior goddess Kali and the wise Gayatri.
Kanch Mandir

The temple, if not apparent from its name, is entirely built from glass and mirrors on the inside. Decked from floor to ceiling in over hundreds and thousands of pieces of reflective glass, the temple is a sight to behold.
The use of various types of glasses here is elaborate and extravagant. Some reflective, some colourful, some broken down to pieces, the glasses are plastered on the wall and the ceiling of the entire temple. The temple is a well known place of worship for people who follow Jainism all over the world.
Bada Ganesh Mandir

The Bada Ganesh Mandir or Bada Ganpati Mandir is one of the most widely known and popular temples in Indore. The temple complex houses a magnificent idol of lord Ganesha which is 25 feet tall.
The foundation of the idol was laid down after late Pandit Narayana Dadhich had a dream of a similar Ganapati after which he decided to bring his dream to reality. The temple complex was made in 1901. It is also believed that it takes eight full days to decorate the idol before Ganapati Utsav.
Gommatagiri Digambar Jain Temple

Gommatagiri Jain Digambar Temple is another important Jain shrine located in Indore. The temple complex houses a 21 feet standing idol of Lord Bahubali. The temple also houses idols of all Jain Tirathankaras as well as the ‘charankamal’ of all tirthankaras and Jain saints. The temple complex is spread in a large area and is beautifully made with white marble stones. It is one of the most calming and peaceful temples around the area.
Hinkargiri Jain Shwetambar Tirth

Hinkargiri is one of the oldest and the most important places of pilgrimage for the followers of Jainism. The temple was established in the year 1995 and was established by a great saint Shri Bhadranand Vijayji Maharasaab and holds much significance for the followers of Jainism. The temple complex is not only visually stunning but because of being located over a hill, it is also extremely peaceful.
