Indore news: MPBSE board exams for classes 5 & 8 are to begin from April 1
Government and private schools affiliated with the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) have been instructed to prepare students of class 5 and class 8 for the board examinations. According to officials, the exams will begin on April 1, 2022, and will end by April 8, 2022, for Class 5 and April 9, 2022, for Class 8.
MPBSE announces date sheet for Class 5 and Class 8 board exams
The state board is resuming board examinations for classes 5 and 8 scholars after 4 years in this academic session. Board exams for these classes were stopped in the year 2017. Citing a negative impact on the learning of the students, the state board this year decided to conduct the board exams. Students will be able to focus more on their academics as the risk of infection has subsided and schools have started operating at full capacity.
As per the MPBSE, "Students who do not pass the examination will be given additional tuition by the school and two months after the declaration of the result, the student will be given the opportunity of re-examination." The board exams will begin at 9:30 AM and will end at 11:30 AM on all scheduled days.

April 1 - First Language
April 4 - Hindi (For English/Urdu/Marathi medium students)
April 5 - Second Language- English/Others
April 6 - Mathematics/Music (for visually impaired students)
April 7 - Additional Subject, General Urdu/Marathi, etc.
April 8 - Environmental Studies

April 5 - Science
April 6 - Mathematics / Music (for visually impaired students)
April 7 - Third Language
April 8 - Social Science
April 9 - Second Language-English/Others
MPBSE Class 5 and 8 exam guidelines:
- Students who do not pass the examination will be given additional tuition by the school and after 2 months after the declaration of the result, the student will be given the opportunity of re-examination.
- If the student does not pass in all the subjects even after the evaluation of the re-examination, then such a student will be detained back in the class he/she is studying.
- Students who fail the MP Board Class 5 and 8 exams, will not to promoted to the next grade.
- No student shall be expelled from school until he/she has completed their elementary education.
Recently, the state board also commenced the board exams for Class 12 that began on February 18, 2022, in offline mode. Nearly seven lakh students appeared for the exams keeping in mind the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. The same is expected for classes 5 and 8 board exams too. Contrary to this year, students, last year were evaluated on the basis of their previous results and internal assessment.
