Indore's 'Moonwalking Traffic Cop' Ranjeet Singh to train jawans in Ladakh

World record holder traffic cop Ranjeet Singh to conduct a 5-day traffic training programme in Ladakh

Indore’s dancing cop Ranjeet Singh has been called upon to hold a 5-day training for traffic jawans by the Ladakh Superintendent of Police, Mohd Rafi Giri. The training programme will be held from April 1 to April 5. He will be imparting traffic control techniques before traffic in Ladakh starts getting busier this summer. After going viral on social media for his moonwalk and other unique dance moves while conducting traffic, Ranjeet Singh has got well-deserved recognition all over the country.

With tourist traffic expected to increase during the summers, Ladakh police are now prepping to handle road traffic efficiently. Hence police officials in Ladakh had contacted the Indore Police Commissioner to have Ranjeet Singh sent there by means of an official letter.

According to reports, this is the first time a traffic cop from Madhya Pradesh will hold a training programme outside the state. He will be sharing his tricks with traffic cops in Ladakh for easier traffic management and encouraging Jawans and the public to abide by traffic rules.

Recipient of various awards, including one for traffic management, Ranjeet is quite popular on other social media platforms as well. Apart from documenting his life and achievements, he also shares stories from his time at the traffic light on the platform.

He shared with the media that instead of walking back, he sometimes moonwalks which amuses the commuters and the mood helps them abide by the rules. His commendable service has been awarded time and again and has also got him a place in the World Book of Records, UK.
