Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) is all set to develop an industrial area in Dewas. This will be the third Industrial area after Pithampur and Ratlam. Initially, 12 acres of land around Dewas will be utilised for the project. MPIDC has made agreement proposals for the same to the government. Once an agreement notification is released, claims and objections will be called and considered.

Similar to the Pithampur industrial area, this new industrial area will also be divided into sectors. With industries setting up base here, thousands of new employment opportunities will also come up in the area. The proposed industrial area will eventually be 1/4th in size in comparison to the Pithampur industrial area, which is the largest industrial area in the country.
As part of the Indore-Bhopal Industrial area, this new industrial area in Dewas is being constructed. With the establishment of this industrial investment area, Indore’s total industrial area will increase to 400 sq km. The setting up of an industrial investment area will provide exponential growth in the industrial sector in line with the Pithampur, Sanwer Road, Betma and Palda industrial areas.
