Indore Smart City Development Ltd targets completion of civil works by mid-2022

A total of 7 ongoing civil work projects in the city including restoration of historical buildings, road widening, repairs, construction, etc., are expected to be completed in the coming months. The construction is being undertaken by Indore Smart City Development Limited (ISCDL). In a District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee meeting held on Wednesday, ISCDL CEO Rishabh Gupta shared the tentative dates for the completion of the projects.

As per the information shared by Gupta, the expected completion dates for various projects are listed below.

• Repairs and restorations at Gopal Mandir: March 31
• Khajrana Ganesh Mandir’s gate: April 15
• Malhar Rao Holkar Chhatri and Nehru Park: May 31
• Bada Ganpati Square to Krishnapura Chhatri road widening: June 30
• Restorations at Rajwada Palace: July 31
• Jawahar Marg Bridge to Chandra Bagh road repairs: July 31
• Marathi Kala Sankul: August 31

Apart from the projects in progress, ISCDL also plans to develop an integrated sports complex in Nehru Stadium. This complex will be equipped for both indoor and outdoor sports activities. The Integrated Sports Complex will be funded under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP). The tender to appoint a consultant for this project will be passed in a week’s time.

Additionally, the meeting also witnessed the proposal for installing lightings at Gandhi Hall and Rajwada Palace. Concerned officials were also instructed to accommodate shopkeepers whose shops were removed during Gopal Mandir restoration work.
