Mr. Bean is a French inspired cafe and you’ll realise it the instant you step foot in this place. From the green staircase leading to the cafe, the big French doors and windows, to the glowing chandeliers, the beige and neutral toned colour scheme, the rustic wooden furniture and the careless manner in which everything seems to be put together, reminds us strongly of Celine’s apartment in the French love story Before Sunset (the sequel to Before Sunrise).

The cafe also draws some inspiration from Italian culture which is more visible in the menu rather than the interiors. The food here is phenomenal, the chicken, mushroom and leek potpie cooked in white wine is the most delectable thing you’ll taste. They also serve a variety of world food including Mexican which is very popular, you should totally try their Nachos and Quesadillas. The Greek Salad they serve is also amazing, the beautiful amalgamation of feta, grilled chicken (optional), lettuce, cherry tomatoes, olives and lemon dressing will have you reaching for spoonfuls after spoonfuls.
