IIM Indore announces free leadership development program for frontline doctors!

As a token of gratitude for the country's healthcare workforce, the Indian Institute of Management Indore has announced a free online leadership development course for frontline doctors. All set to start from July 31, the program will entail the training of 100 doctors, as a part of the college's Institutional Social Responsibility. With this self-funded initiative, the institute is paying tribute to selfless services rendered by doctors during the ongoing pandemic.

IIM Indore to bear the cost of the complete program

As per reports, the program would stretch over 70 hours, benefitting the 100 selected doctors with new and amplified leadership skills. During the dire times of the pandemic, the medical fraternity aggregated its best efforts for combating the effects of the virus. In recognition of their contribution, IIM Indore has come up with this leadership development course.

As per reports, a cost of ₹1.5 lakh will be borne by the IIM administration for each participant in the program. Thereby, the institute will have to bear a total expenditure of ₹1.5 crores, as informed by the Director. Reportedly, this is the largest share put forward by any similar institute in the country, under Institutional Social Responsibility.

A variety of different subjects in the upcoming program

It has been reported that the certificate program would encompass a variety of different courses. This includes leadership skills, conversational abilities, disaster management and effective communication, amongst others. In addition to this, the areas of service administration and financial management will also be touched upon in the upcoming course. Given the challenging needs of the present day, it is expected that the program would significantly help the doctors to elevate their competence.
