Sanitation workers honoured for their efforts that helped Indore retain the 'Cleanest City' tag

IMC honours the real heroes behind the win!

Celebrating yet another win by Indore in this year's Swachh Survekshan Awards, Indore Municipal Corpporation organised an event on Tuesday to honour and appreciate the efforts of the sanitation workers of the city. Notably, this historic win makes Indore a record winner of being the Cleanliest City in India for five consecutive years. Moreover, in this year's Swachh Amrit Mahotsav Indore managed to secure two additional accolades, that include SBM Water+ certified city and 'Five-Star garbage-free city'.

After solidifying its position in the field of civic cleanliness and hygiene by registering another historic win in the country's annual cleanliness survey, it is time for celebration in Indore. Indore civic body distributed gifts to all the sanitation workers to acknowledge their contribution in this grand victory. Reportedly, the employees of the municipal corporation also performed tribal dance in the program organised to commemorate this feast.

While speaking about this historic win, Pratibha Pal- the Commissioner of Indore Municipal Corporation said, "We will work in the same way this year as we have been working in the last 5 years and will keep our claim firmly."

Notably, IMC released a new civic song- "Apne Indore ne panch laga diya...", to revamp the face of Indore's cleanliness drive, while celebrating its fifth cleanliness title. In a bid to promote a cleaner environment and register yet another win in 2022, the civic body will play this song on all garbage vehicles plying across the city.
