Under the leadership of the Indore Municipal Corporation, the long-awaited ‘night walkathon’ is all set to tour through the streets of the city on Saturday. As part of this, attendees in the procession will not only motivate the sanitation workers on night duty but also take a pledge to ensure cleanliness in the city. Amongst the prominent highlights of this event, the city folks are eagerly looking forward to Zumba Dance and the live band performance.
An attempt to boost the spirits of sanitation workers
This is the first time that Indore is hosting such an event where residents would boost the morale of sanitation workers in the night besides understanding their issues and difficulties during the daytime. Reportedly, this march would start from Abhay Prashal and cover spots of Janjeerwala Chauraha, Bansi Plaza, Palasia Chauraha Selfie Point, Industry House Tiraha on its way. The attendees can capture their memories of this event at the Palasia Chauraha selfie point facility which would provide instant copies of photographs. Additionally, the Municipal Corporation has also planned to distribute 500 T-shirts based on the ‘first come, first serve’ basis.
As per reports, the Municipal Commissioner asserted that the vehicles deployed for sanitation works during the night shall also be exhibited in the march. Bringing the citizens closer to the nature of sanitation works, the officers would operate these vehicles and demonstrate their functioning to the participants.
On the spot registrations available for the event
It is anticipated that this event would mark participation by a collective of social leaders, intellectuals, officers, citizens, representatives of various organisations amongst others. Reportedly, Indian Medical Association informed that 50 staff members from the conglomerate would take part in the rally.
According to records, a big number of men, women, youth, children and senior citizens have got themselves registered for this event.
