The city authorities have indicated that the diversion plan may be subject to changes based on traffic conditions.

Following the initiation of trial runs for the Indore Metro on the 5.9 km high-priority stretch in September, the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) is actively working to finalize the Phase 1 corridor. The full 31.5 km corridor is anticipated to be finished by 2027.

Due to ongoing construction activities, the ring road between Robot Square and Radisson will be entirely closed for vehicular movement.

Here's a list of alternative routes for commuters

During the construction phase, the authority is actively involved in installing the GSS and launching the Grinder on top of the pillar at Robot Square. As a result, this development will impact the traffic flow from Robot Square to Radisson Square and the traffic moving from Khajrana Square toward Robot Square.

Here is a concise list of alternate routes available for heavy vehicles and regular commuters to navigate through the diversion:

  • Regular traffic can proceed from LIG Link Road to Radisson Square by utilizing the service road from Khajrana Square.

  • Commuters heading from Khajrana to Robot Square can navigate towards Vijay Nagar through MR-09 and LIG Link Road.

  • For those travelling from Radisson to Khajrana, the service road from Robot Square will be the designated route.

Diversions for city/state buses and heavy vehicles

  • Buses destined for the stretch heading from Navlakha can proceed towards Devguradia via Teen Imli.

  • Similarly, heavy vehicles and buses coming from Teen Imli stations can travel towards Devguradiya.

  • Buses traveling from Dewas to Radisson can make a U-turn from Star Square and proceed towards the bypass.

  • Buses arriving from Ujjain can head towards Star Square via Radisson.

The city's civic authorities and the Indore traffic police department have indicated that the diversion plan may be subject to changes based on traffic conditions. Additionally, the anticipated public opening of the high-priority corridor between Gandhi Nagar and Super Corridor (S3) is set for August 2024.
