Reportedly, the administration has formed ward-level disaster management committees at all Nagar Panchayats and regional units under IMC. With the addition of 1,559 new COVID cases, the cumulative count of infected people surged up higher, standing at 1,34,843 on Friday. On the positive side, 2,512 recoveries were marked in the city on the same day, which pushed the active tallies downwards to a count of 17,105.
